ALTP Application Process

apponlineAcceptance into the Advanced Leadership Training Program (ALTP) is the result of a competitive process. The ALTP accepts some 45 participants per class year. Only complete applications can be considered and reviewed. Factors that weigh significantly on the final application score include: the quality of the essays, applicant experience and readiness for the program (as demonstrated through their resume or CV), and the recommendations. Participants are selected to achieve a cohort representative of many diverse types of people, backgrounds, experiences, organizations and geographic areas.


PLEASE NOTE: The timeline for the next ALTP class has changed. The new timeline is outlined below and is subject to modification. Specific dates will be posted this spring.

Early July, 2022 Application Process Open
September 30, 2022 Applications Due Date
Late October, 2022 Notification Date
Early December, 2022 Program Start Date – Materials sent to participants
January 11-13, 2023 ALTP 2023 Session #1 – Santa Fe, NM

If selected, the applicant is expected to participate in the program. The tuition is payable upon acceptance into the program and due by November 30, 2022, unless other arrangements are made.
