Cara is an associate attorney for Baake Law, where she supports natural resources and environmental law litigation, as well as researching and informing water specific policy. She helped create and launch the Environmental Public Health Network New Mexico. In 2018, she graduated from UNM School of Law with a certificate in Natural Resources and Environmental Law. Previously she directed national programs for a non-profit that used collective impact to engage youth in poor and urban communities in identifying and designing solutions to environmental problems in their communities.
Cara has extensive international travel and work experiences, including teaching in San Pedro Sula, Honduras and studying abroad in Pretoria, South Africa. She is passionate about inspiring others, fostering inclusive democracy, and protecting our natural resources.
